This Thrifted Lamp Makeover with Spray Paint is sponsored by Krylon Spray Paint. All opinions are my own.
A few months ago while thrifting, I found this lamp for $5.99 and knew it would be perfect for an easy thrifted lamp makeover with spray paint. I am no stranger to spray paint projects, especially using Krylon because they always make my projects come out flawlessly.
I thought it was pretty cool and reminded me of lamps I used to see at my Moms’ friends house in the 80’s. Plus, textured lamps are the “in thing” now, so I knew it would make a great addition to my living room once I gave it an easy makeover with spray paint and added an updated lampshade.
For this project, I used tFor this project, I used Krylon Fusion All-In-One Paint and Primer with 5X Stronger Adhesion in Matte Black because matte has a more expensive appearance in my book. It’s all a matter of preference though!
This spray paint is perfect for a project like this because it dries super fast, has a no peel guarantee, and has strong adhesion to a variety of surfaces.
To get a nice even spray coverage, I slowly sprayed and layered as I sprayed.
Once done, I let it dry until it was dry to the touch, which the directions state as 2 hours, then I brought it inside and added a new shade.
Now it has a modern update.
So what do you guys think? Is this a project you are willing to try? Let me know!
