The carpet in my home was original to the year that my home was built, as in 1996. As you can imagine, with a small child, two dogs, and an active lifestyle, our past carpet had served us well.
Partnering with STAINMASTER® for this project was a dream! I had the STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpet installed throughout my entire upstairs and basement. STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpet easily releases pet hair, resists stains and reduces odor*. The installation was a breeze, although I will admit, I was nervous about how it all would work with having to move my furniture and shift my personal belongs, etc. However, it all worked out, and the team that installed my carpeting was amazing and made everything seamless.
Prior to my installation date, I was told to have all of my breakables and personal items moved into the bathroom, and they would handle moving larger furniture items. Once they arrived, they sprung right into action, breaking down beds, moving my bookcases in my office, etc.
Once all of the carpet was installed, everything was put back in place. I could not stop staring and honestly, I am still in awe!
It instantly freshened up my space, both literally and figuratively, as you don’t realize how much older carpet harbors odors.
It’s only been about a month since I’ve had this carpet installed, but I’ll be sharing with you throughout the months, how it is holding up and how it is working out with our lifestyle at home. I will also be showing you what it looks like installed in each room. Here is a peek at my office space and basement.
For the upstairs spaces, I chose the Dixie Home Eminence in the color Chestnut. Here is a closeup of the pattern for my upstairs spaces. It’s such a beautiful, neutral color.
For my basement, I love the fun pattern of the carpet in this space as well.
This particular style is the STAINMASTER® PetProtect® carpet Bungalow Schooner by Masland. You can shop similar styles at your local Lowe’s retailer.
The pile in my basement is perfect for a high traffic play, or recreational area, whereas the carpet upstairs is plush and cozy, perfect for bedroom spaces.
The padding we chose was literally the cherry on top. Padding can make or break how the carpet feels, so we wanted the very best. We decided on the 10LB Pad and whoa! I am so glad we did. It feels like we are walking on pillows, no joke.
So, what do you think? I can’t wait to share more spaces with you over time as some rooms will be finally decorated now that the new carpeting is installed, while other spaces were enhanced with having the new carpeting.
Thanks so much for stopping by! Until next time!
