I recently decided to do a gallery wall update for my home office with pieces that spoke to me more, and to make it more functional.
I loved my original gallery wall before, but being home all of 2020 and using my home office more, I definitely needed a change. My gallery wall was originally full of pieces that I loved at the time, but hey, we are allowed to grow and tastes change.
This was office in 2018. It hadn’t changed much.
I started by removing everything off of the wall and painting a perfectly imperfect diagonal wall stripe.
Then I added things that made me feel inspired. My advice when creating a gallery wall is to only add things that you love. Most of the things I already owned, but I also added the removal Command Brand Floating shelves. The smaller display shelves are the cutest as well, and are also by Command, therefore they are removable and damage free!
You guys remember when I made over that Oversized DIY Corkboard that I got from my local thrift store. Well as you can see, it is right at home in its new space.
The desk is an old Goodwill find that I just repainted using a mix of bluish gray wall paints. The chair was also found at Goodwill. The prints are from She is This Designs and Dana Todd Pope.
To store post its, I used the Command Large Clear caddies. They are traditionally used in the kitchens, but worked seamlessly in this space.
I tried to make sure while the wall was pretty, it was functional, that way I could keep clutter off of my desk.
I am absolutely in love with this gallery wall update in my home office. I love working from it daily. It’s so funny how while I thought being home would be the worst thing ever, it has actually brought out the opportunity to be creative in ways that I couldn’t have imagined.
What do you think?
Thanks for stopping by. Until next time!
