Recently, I’ve been putting a little extra effort into my basement. It’s such a beautiful space, however, I have not properly devoted the time to thinking out the plan for this space. Before I start on any space, I generally like to put together a mood board, albeit physical or digital. For my basement, I gathered some things from around the house to create a mood board of the vibe that I am going for, along with visiting Carpet One’s website to order various flooring samples.
Shopping Carpet One’s website for flooring samples is easy and requires very little effort. When visiting Carpet One’s site, simply click the button that says “order samples here” and make your selections based on the options available. You have the option of ordering carpeting, laminate, vinyl and wood samples.
In your box, there is the option of selecting 6 samples total. Once your samples are selected, there is a $12 shipping fee for your sample box, which is totally worth it. The samples arrive neatly packaged in a beautiful box with a personalized letter from your local Carpet One retailer, the Beautiful Design Made Simple mini magazine, which includes inspirational pictures, and other design tips.
For my box,I ordered a laminate samples called “Dockside Resort,” in the color Cabin Door and Antler and a vinyl flooring sample in the style Covered Bridge in the color Arrowhead. They are all a beautiful rich taupe-brown color.
For my carpet samples, I ordered Fall Creek Harbour in the color Beach Access which is a soft, low-pile option, Terra Vista III in the color Egg Wash and Long Shot II in the color Antique Silk which are both super soft, eco-friendly, and spill resistant.
I am trying to decide between flooring options for my basement so we will see which direction I end up going.
To help in my decision, I gathered my flooring samples, and put together a mood board which will ultimately drive the direction of this space.
My plan for this space is to make it as relaxing and calm as possible, while still incorporating various fun and family friendly elements. I love the idea of incorporating neutrals and natural elements throughout the space, and of course brass:)
Putting together this mood board and incorporating my Carpet One samples have proven to make this process seamless and now my vision for this space is clear.
I can’t wait for it all to come together!
You can always visit Carpet One’s website to order your very own samples. Are you excited about the basement updates to come? Let me know in the comments!
