Week 6…wow. If I am being honest, I didn’t even realize that we were only two weeks away from the official ORC reveal. This post is technically week 5 and 6, but as we know, due to all of the civil unrest and blatant racism in this country, ORC paused week 5 updates.
Before I go any further, I want to urge all of my white readers to understand the shift taking place right now. Enough is enough.I want to implore you to have the necessary and uncomfortable conversations about race and the longtime oppression of Black people amongst your other white friends and family. Figure out ways to help and support and be an ally. I also want to remind you that what is going on now, goes way deeper than George Floyd. Just do your research to understand the past and the present, and figure out you can be part of shaping a better future. Okay…off of my soap box. Moving on. ORC Week 5 and 6…
So this week I will quickly update you on where we stand in the powder room.
Last week I finished installing all of the wall paper and faux shiplap strips. Woo hoo! As you remember a couple of weeks ago, I was busy getting them installed and I have to admit, it’s been a tedious process. So glad its done!
This week we also installed the light fixture.
We also installed the new countertop and seeing it all come together, I am just in LOVE. 
The faucet is just so good and the countertop is better than I could have ever imagined! I also decided to add an additional trip piece under the ledge of the shiplap and it was the best decision ever!
I love how the color of the brass is not super shiny gold, but more muted and classic. Love it.
It’s hard to believe we are this far and the space looked like this just 6 weeks ago.
So here is what is left to do:
Remove Old Mirror
Remove Old Countertop
Paint Vanity Hale Navy
Repair wall where mirror was removed
Install Wallpaper halfway around the wall
Install verticalshiplap
Prime vertical shiplap
Paint vertical shiplap
Buy New Toilet and Install
Install light fixture
Install sink countertop
Buy Faucet
Install faucet
Install hardware to sink
Install Crown Molding
Find Rug
Install Floating shelving (tbd)
Find art and accessories
Install Wall Mirror
