It’s reveal day! After working the entire month…well the last two weeks of February, I was able to turn my office closet into the cutest little organized space and finally reveal the closet makeover on a budget reveal for the #ZeroDollarUpdate . I worked with a group of ladies during the month of February for the #zerodollarupdate where we transformed a space in our homes for either zero or as close to zero dollars as possible. Unfortunately, I didn’t stick to zero dollars but I got pretty close! What I loved about the challenge is that it forced me to think about ways I could go about utilizing what I already have around the house to create the space I wanted.
As I mentioned in this progress post, I was forced to purchase additional wallpaper after running out, which is what made me spend money.I also decided at the last minute to buy a paint sample to paint these cool oblong type objects on my door. But other than that, I stuck pretty close to zero.
I think the door is one of my favorite features of the closet makeover on a budget! Plus I put the design on the inside and outside.
I can’t remember the paint color, but I grabbed the closest coral paint color from Behr I could find.
Everything I used I had lying around. The baskets, wood in my garage for the shelves that I cut to 5 ft across, and 22 inches wide. These shelves are deep! I even had the the first roll of wallpaper already that I bought a while back on clearance from Bargain Hunt. As I mentioned in my last post, I had to find another one on Ebay. The small campaign style dresser was something that I thrifted several years ago and it kind of has been living in my hallway since. I gave it a couple coats of paint using some oops paint and spray painted the knobs with gold spray paint.
I don’t know if its good or bad that I had so much stuff lying around to make this space what it is, but I am glad that I did.
In the baskets, I am storing storing a variety of gift bags that I keep on hand for presents, and gift bows etc. I also have some photo albums in the drawers, along with a few of my t-shirts that I have left from my online store.
Ultimately, the new view makes me extremely happy and I am so happy with this makeover. Especially considering where we started. Remember?
Crazy right? And look how far we’ve come:)
So what do you think of the reveal?
Thanks so much fo stopping by! Until next time.
