Hey and happy Tuesday. This is just a check in post to let you know how things are shaping up on the dining room front.
If you follow me on IG, then you know I’ve been putting in WORK in this room. Especially on the bench. So I wanted to check in and let you where we stand and what we still need to do.
White Paint:
Well, I am happy to report that the room has been painted Simply White by Benjamin Moore, color matched to Behr. I knew I would like it, but I have to say that I LOVE it. Simply White is legit the best white paint color ever. It looks so perfect with the white trim, I just love it.
While the gray paint was cool for the last 6 years, I was looking for a change.
The white paint is just the fresh change that I needed.
Just to think, I considered getting rid of that mirror. Pretty sure that I will be keeping it…I think:)
DIY Built-In Bench
The bench is pretty much done you guys! We’ve spent the better part of the last couple of weeks building the frame, adding the molding and the fronts of the bench and now it is pretty much done. Just need to add the cushions and style it up.
Window Trim
After painting, I added the craftsman trim to my windows using my craftsman tutorial that I’ve used several times.
Lastly, I ordered some sconces for the room to hang on the walls to the left and right of the room that should be here soon.
So that’s it. I still have some things to do in this room, but as you can see, its getting close.
What do you think so far?
Thanks so much for following along. Until next time.
Looks good, was it hard work??
lol. Yes and my very helpful husband was super awesome in the process.
It’s looking so good! Love how the gold mirror pops against the white paint! I’m dying to see the finished product!
Thanks Carli!Yes, I am removing the mirror all over again!
I think it looks fantastic! That is a beautiful shade of white. It's amazing how the space opens up even more. I just love your style!
Thank you Libby. Yes the white paint had definitely opened the space up even more.
