Live Pretty on a Penny: December 2015

A Walk Through Memory Lane: 2015 Year in Review

Thursday, December 31, 2015

Whew! I cannot believe that today is the final day of 2015. I mean, days can really just become a blur and you look up and its another year--just like that.

I figured it might be pretty cool to take a look back over the last year of the blog, and pull out some of the projects that I am most proud of. When pulling this info, I was shocked at how much we actually got done. I am so thankful that you guy's have been sticking around with me this past year and I look forward to bringing you even more AMAZING content in the New Year.

So enough chatter, let's get to it!

AJC (Atlanta Journal Constitution) Feature:

In the March, my home and family were featured in the AJC Home finders sections. It was a beautiful 4-page spread. That was huge for me and I have never cleaned so hard in my life:

Holiday Bar Tray: The Alternative to a Bar Cart

Wednesday, December 23, 2015

Happy Wednesday my good people! With the Holiday festivities quickly approaching, let's talk bar carts... I absolutely love them and think that they add the perfect extra little detail to decor. But, I understand space restrictions, and while I would love to have a fancy bar cart, I opted for an alternative. My trusty bar tray.

SIX MONTH Project Wish List

Monday, December 14, 2015

Hey there. So I got a great idea:) Let's take a quick break from all of the Holiday chat and let's talk about the future really quickly. Just before I started this post, I was making a list thinking about my plans in the New Year. I know we haven't even made it through Christmas yet, but  I love to think and plan and think and plan and think and plan and the New Year makes me excited for fresh starts! It gives me something to look forward to, even if its  months and months away. Especially when it comes to my house. As I am sure you can imagine, there are things that I want to do so badly, but I know that they will take time, so I plan in milestones. Today I want to share my home project wishlist for the next 6 months. Some of the things I will be able to do, and some I won't which I am sure...but it's sure nice to dream:)

Recessed Lighting

This is one of the things I am looking forward to the most.  Each year I allow myself one major purchase. Last year we got crown molding put around the entire main floor, the year before that, we got our new dark floors, the year before that and the year before that I can't remember, but you get the point.
